Tibet, 14 cm
In # 6820
This Tibetan horn was used in exorcism rituals and offering ceremonies. It contained mustard seeds, which came out of the mouth of the makara carved at the end of the horn. There are many symbols carved in low relief such as the vajra, a stupa and many zoomorphic forms.
